Bear Creek Overhead Doors offers same-day service and 24-hour emergency response. Our prices are fair and reasonable and we guarantee all our work. We are dependable and courteous.
Thousands of satisfied customers served over 25 years have made us a top-rated company in Southern Oregon.
When Jim was a 10-year old boy, the drive shaft on his older brother’s car fell down. Using his belt, he was able to temporarily strap it up. Each time something else broke on his car, Jim figured out a way to repair it, getting better and better as he went along.
This early taste of success began to fuel his life-long interest in cars and in fixing broken mechanics. Jim has a natural mechanical skill in repairing broken cars and broken garage doors.
As owner of Bear Creek Overhead Doors since 1995, he has repaired thousands of Southern Oregon garage doors during the work day and restored and built custom vehicles in his free time.
A favorite vehicle is the Boyertown van. He found this delivery van neglected in a field with a tree growing up through the middle. The moment he saw it, he knew how amazing it could be.
He worked on it in his spare time for years, transforming it from what people called, “Jeepers Creepers” to a patriotic vehicle he is very proud of and one that earned Best in Show in both Grants Pass (2017) and Klamath Falls (2018) car shows.
Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends fishing and camping. He also loves fixing old cars.
During his school years, he began riding along with Dad and started helping by handing him bolts, nuts and tools as he installed and repaired hardware on garage doors. During these years, he learned first hand the value of hard work and how to repair and install all kinds and sizes of garage doors.
It is satisfying to solve our customer’s garage door problems and put a smile back on their faces. Looking ahead, we plan for Tyler to eventually run Bear Creek Overhead Doors.
